The vitality calendar

Most people know how important it is to live a healthy life: to get enough exercise, eat healthily, and be mentally balanced. But for many, working on health feels like a big challenge or an annoying obligation. However, small changes are actually the key to achieving something. This program shows how you can integrate healthy habits into your daily life in a fun way.

A healthy lifestyle has a major impact on how someone feels and behaves. Healthy people are more productive, resilient, and happier. Additionally, a healthy lifestyle prevents many diseases, lifestyle-related illnesses, and other physical and mental complaints.

The problem is that steps towards a healthier lifestyle are often perceived as big or annoying, and yet another thing you ‘have to do’. While healthy can very well go together with tasty and fun. The most important thing is that everyone finds their own way to live healthily. Some people enjoy exercising several times a week, but those who don't can still find other ways to get their exercise. And you don't have to be a ‘foodie’ to prepare healthy and delicious meals.

Just as important for your health is your mind. For this too, you can achieve a lot with daily, short moments: by occasionally pausing to be in the here and now, by reconnecting with loved ones, or by thinking about which goals are important to you.

This calendar provides short tasks for concrete steps towards a healthier lifestyle. The program was developed in collaboration with general practitioners and other healthcare providers. The tasks in the calendar are divided into the following four themes:

A healthy body is essential for a healthy mind. This theme gives tasks to have fun with healthy eating, daily exercise, and a balanced sleep routine.

The best recipe against rush is awareness of the present moment. Tasks from this theme ask you to do things with peace and attention, to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and to approach the world with an open mind.

You achieve dreams by setting concrete goals and continuing to take small steps in the right direction. The tasks in this theme encourage you to think about your goals and to make the route to those goals concrete.

Social contact is extremely important for your physical and mental health. Through the tasks from this theme, you engage in new contacts and deepen existing relationships.
